Now Christmas is over and we are focussed on weight loss, spirulina is an algae that can give us a helping hand. It is powerful in speeding up the metabolism, with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which, together with the chlorella, gives us energy and has a satiating and detoxifying effect. Both are found in our Spirulina & Chlorella Elements.

In this article, we suggest a fun way of taking this supplement in the form of hummus to add extra colour, flavour and to give us energy for our day-to-day.


  • 3 Spirulina & Chlorella Elements Capsules
  • 1 Tin chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 Tablespoons tahini
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • Lemon juice
  • Cumin
  • Virgin olive oil
  • Salt


  • Add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, salt and olive oil to a food processor.
  • Mix until you obtain a smooth and creamy mixture. If necessary, add a little water to get the desired consistency.
  • Open the Spirulina & Chlorella Elements capsules and add them, mixing until they are fully incorporated.
  • Serve in a dish garnished with basil and voilà.

The combination of all these ingredients provides us with the nutrients we need to have energy for day-to-day life and to meet the body’s basic health needs.


Chickpeas are a source of plant proteins, fibre, vitamins and minerals, including iron and zinc, which help to keep the immune system healthy and boost energy.
This hummus provides all of the amino acids needed to meet the protein requirements of the diet by combining them with the spirulina and chlorella, which are algae with a high protein content (50-60%) and which also provide lots of vitamins and minerals.

Moreover, this algae is antioxidant, detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, speeds up the metabolism and the burning of fat.


This sesame seed paste is rich in healthy fats, including fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6, as well as being rich in minerals like calcium, iron and magnesium, which are important for bone and muscle health.


Garlic is known for its antibacterial and antiviral properties, and, combined with lemon, which is rich in vitamin C, it provides antioxidant properties, which helps to strengthen the immune system and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.


Virgin olive oil is high in monounsaturated fatty acids, which are beneficial for heart health and can help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Additionally, the oil and cumin both contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds that can help to improve digestion and reduce inflammation in the body.
